Angelina Jolie has accused her Ex-husband Brad Pitt of being physically abusive to her and their children.
On Tuesday Angelina Jolie has opened up about her divorce from Brad Pitt and filed a cross complaint against him, in her statement Jolie said that Brad Pitt had been abusive during a private plane journey in 19 September 2016.
Jolie said that Pitt had been abusive on multiple occasions, including one incident in which he allegedly hit their son. Pitt has denied the allegations, saying that he is “deeply saddened” by Jolie’s claims.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were one of Hollywood’s most enviable couples. But behind the scenes, it was a different story.
On 4 Oct 2022 Angelina Jolie submitted her complaint document to supreme court of Los Angeles as part of a legal conflict that is taking place over a winery that two notable Celebrity formerly owned jointly.
Angelina Jolie’s allegations
Angelina Jolie’s suit claims that Brad Pitt engaged in abusive behaviour before the family ever boarded the privet plane. She also said that Pitt had a “clash” with one of their children.
According to the Angelina’s claim, when she asked Pitt what was wrong, he replied that she was too lenient with their children and then “verbally attacked her.” Jolie’s complaint states that Pitt then “physically assaulted her.”
After about an hour and a half had passed, Pitt yelled at Jolie while dragging her into the restroom of the plane and ordering her to go to the rear of the aircraft. He grabbed her shoulder and pushed her into the plane’s bathroom.
One of their children defended her. Jolie says that Pitt would often lose his temper and lash out at her, leaving her feeling “intimidated and scared.”
Pitt struck one of the children in the face and then strangled another of the children. Some of the children begged Pitt to stop what he was doing. After that incident she finally decided to leave him.
Brad Pitt’s response
Brad claims that in 2008 they both bought a company named Château Miraval, and both agreed that without each other’s consent they would never sell their stack.
But after their in October 2021 Angelina sold her respective interests to a Russian businessman names “Yuri Shefler” without discussing to him.
Brad claims that he did all the hard work to grow this business and Angelina did nothing to drive the growth of their business.
Instead, she allowed Pitt to “invest more money and hard work into the business, in trust on the agreement she agreed to him and a right of first refusal her business entity owed his.” He claims that claims that Jolie cornered him and whatever she did to the business is unlawful.
However, in Angelina’s countersuit she said that Brad had all the control on Chateau Miraval’s and he refused to allow her fair access to company’s records and he was controlling the most significant part of the company’s worth.
And that’s why she decided to sell her holding. But in her court papers she claims that she made this decision After discussion between both of them.
